    Our Vision

Each month, we bring together 3 professors from vastly different fields and 5 undergraduate students to engage in an interdisciplinary conversation unlikely to happen anywhere else at Penn.

    Our Goals

    • Increase faculty-student engagement.
    • Facilitate interdisciplinary faculty dialogue.
    • Explore and discuss ideas that cut across boundaries imposed by departments, academic buildings, majors, and programs.

    The Namesake, Benjamin Franklin

    image

Our initiative embodies the spirit of Ben Franklin, who founded Penn and was a writer, scientist, inventor, statesman, diplomat, printer, publisher, and political philosopher. We believe that the hallmark of a successful Penn education should be the ability to integrate knowledge from different disciplines. Franklin Dinners bears his name and was created to advance the goals of a successful Penn education.
